       The Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics is an organization of mathematics education professionals who work toward the improvement of mathematics education for grades Pre-Kindergarten through College throughout the State of Ohio.

OCTM MISSION STATEMENT
 

OCTM's mission is to provide quality teaching and learning of mathematics in Ohio.  We do this by:

  • Providing professional development for current and future mathematics teachers
  • Providing a wide variety of publications for members
  • Providing opportunities for networking with other mathematics education professional
  • Providing support and leadership for affiliate groups
  • Collaborating with policy-making organizations, including ODE and NCTM
  • Recognizing excellence in mathematics teaching and learning

History:
The History of the OCTM can now be viewed on our "History" page of the OCTM Website.  On the "History" page of the OCTM Website you can view our "General History", "Charter History", or the "History of Our Past Presidents".

Officers:
The OCTM has three different types of officers. They are either elected, appointed, or affiliate officers.  To access a list of all officers, you can now visit our "Officer" page of the OCTM Website.  There you can view our "Elected Officers", "Appointed Officers", and "Affiliate Officers".
