We are excited to welcome featured speakers:  Jo Boaler and Linard McCloud!

Jo Boaler

Dr Jo Boaler is a Stanford Professor. Former roles have included being the Marie Curie professor of mathematics education in England, and a mathematics teacher in London comprehensive schools. She is author of 19 books, numerous articles and a White House presenter on women and girls. Her latest book is: Math-ish: Finding Creativity, Diversity and Meaning in Mathematics. She co-founded www.youcubed.org and www.Struggly.com. She was one of the writing team for the 2023 California Mathematics Framework and was named as one of the 8 educators “changing the face of education” by the BBC.

Linard McCloud

Linard McCloud was named the principal at Bethel-Hanberry Elementary School in Blythewood, SC in June of 2024. He has previously served as a k-8 teacher assistant, middle school teacher, a high school assistant principal and an elementary school principal in other school districts across SC. He holds degrees in Music Performance, Curriculum & Instruction, Secondary Leadership & Supervision and Educational Administration. Principal McCloud’s goal is to develop student leaders who are prepared for success in colleges, careers and in life.
