71st Annual OCTM Conference

For the safety of our OCTM members, the 2021 Annual Conference was VIRTUAL.

Sessions were held from October 4-23, 2021, but you can STILL REGISTER through June 15, 2022!

Conference Strands:

Building a mathematical community through the beauty of math. Make the math curriculum come alive. Provide participants with math experiences that will enhance teacher content knowledge.  How can teachers and students play with math in the classroom?

Building a mathematical community through teaching practices. Classroom practices matter.  Provide participants with current best practices that will enhance their lesson presentation (for example: math routines, math talks, notice/wonder).

Building a mathematical community through the development of teacher leaders.  Teaching is a profession.   Provide participants with ideas, strategies and research that support their career-long learning process. Help them develop as advocates for math education and leaders in the teaching community (for example: Lesson Study, new teacher involvement, new ideas for professional development).

Building a mathematical community through the embracement of diversity by creating safe and equitable classrooms. Provide all students — regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, sexuality, disability status, national origin, or English language ability — access to the learning of meaningful mathematics.
